My Therapeutic Approach:
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, conversational approach where you are encouraged to be yourself. I offer a Person-Centered, Feminist with a focus on acceptance and empowerment. I utilize Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT) techniques such as mindfulness and identifying values-based behaviors. I have specialized training in Grief & Loss Counseling and Perinatal Mental Health. I also encourage my clients to develop a sense of self-compassion.
Additional Approaches Used in Sessions:

-
Compassion-focused therapy (CFT) focuses on the use of compassionate mind training, or the development of attributes and skills that increase compassion, in order to facilitate the development of self-compassion through experiences that instill feelings of safety and contentment.

A type of therapy that emphasizes the impact of social and political forces, particularly sexism, on mental health, and aims to empower individuals to challenge these forces.
